    Microsoft – the leading software development company – is looking for Country Manager (Microsoft Georgia).

     

    The ideal candidate profile:

    senior executive with excellent people leadership skills, a strong ‘customer touch’, ability to develop talent, willing to identify with both the organization and its people and, very importantly, with very good connections to the decision-makers within the industry;

    a candidate is mature enough to fully understand Microsoft's policies, guidelines and global client strategies to make decisions and take actions needed; able to act and implement actions independently but always within the overall policies and practices of Microsoft; she/he is expected to demonstrate and deliver on the Microsoft mission and values;

    a self motivated and independent senior executive fostering excellence and able to operate in the best interests of the business consistent with agreed strategic direction and reporting requirements; a proven leader with the ability to motivate and lead senior managers and directors and build effective relationships with key business partners; shows the ability to synthesize a vision of where the company should be going and demonstrates excellent commercial skills;

    she/he proves a documented successful track record and sufficient and relevant experience in an international business environment to take on the new role;

    has a technology background: not necessarily from a software environment, she/he could possibly come from hardware companies, distributors, the Telco sector, or even from consulting, provided that s/he can demonstrate a successful track record in business development and customer service, and equally importantly, people management experience and skills.

     

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate as many as possible of the following traits:

    ·       Defines/sets parameters for achieving strategic goals.

    ·       Innovation: encourages innovation and creativity in others. Prepared to take calculated risks to achieve the pre-set business goals. Takes initiative for finding innovative solutions, challenges existing practices to find the best ways of doing business, provides support and recognition for others who break traditions and demonstrate a personal commitment to innovation and change, supports intelligent risk-taking by engagement etc.

    ·       Focuses on successful and fast implementation and follow-up

    ·       Communication: facilitates the communication process to draw out a range of views and achieve best outcomes. Establishes a culture of “open communication”.

    ·       Accountable for commitments, results, and quality to customers, shareholders, partners, and employees.

    ·       Excellent organization and re-organization skills. Pragmatic, with a talent for organization and implementation.

    ·       Demonstrated ability to build an organization and/or function and develop and attract talent.

    ·       Must be consistent, convincing and demand respect, standing up for his/ her ideas.

    ·       Self-confidence to deal effectively at all possible levels, including the highest.

    ·       Fluent English. Georgian and/or Russian.
